Our Sansar is led by a dedicated team in both the UK and Nepal. Together, we combine local knowledge with international development expertise to create lasting change for children, families and communities across Madhesh Pradesh.
Working Together, Across Two Countries
Our work is shaped by people who know these communities the best. Although our team is spread across two continents, we work as one organisation with a shared commitment to giving every child the opportunity to grow up safe, supported and full of hope.
Our UK team provides strategic leadership, governance and fundraising, while our Nepal team of more than 40 staff members leads programme delivery, child protection and community engagement.
Every programme begins by listening—to children, families, communities and local partners. Together, we make decisions that reflect local priorities, culture and long-term needs. We all share one goal: creating safer childhoods and brighter futures for every child.

UK Leadership Team
Julia Krepska – Founder & Director
Julia founded Our Sansar in 2009 and since then has been involved in all aspects of running the charity. Over the years, Our Sansar has grown considerably, and with a great team on the ground in Nepal, Julia now focuses on fundraising, project planning and management, liaising with volunteers and supporters, and the day-to-day financial and administrative work that keeps Our Sansar running.
Since day one, one of the most important things for Julia has been to work with communities that have little or no access to other support. Southern Nepal, despite the huge need, receives far less support than some other parts of the country, which is why Our Sansar’s work is focused on this region. Julia is also passionate about developing projects that can be easily replicated, allowing the team to reach as many children as possible.
In the past, Julia managed operations for the London-based charity Just for Kids Law and spent over nine years managing the UK/US based charity The FCancer Project. She studied Japanese at the University of Warsaw and International Relations at the Open University, and also spent three years working as a multilingual consultant in Japan.
Outside Our Sansar, Julia loves listening to Leonard Cohen and going on jungle safaris as often as possible.
David Reddin MBE – Chair of Trustees
Having been called to the Bar in 1982, David had a fascinating career as a Barrister and International Lawyer within the Legal Services of H.M. Armed Forces, the Legal Services Commission and Legal Aid Agency. His experience ranges from prosecuting and defending soldiers at Courts Martial to dealing with vulnerable members of the public, the media and senior legal and political figures on a national and international level. As a senior legal aid lawyer he enabled many ground breaking legal cases to be dealt with and successfully concluded in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. His team specialized in Clinical Negligence, Child Abuse, Prisoner Rights, and all aspects of Public Law. David has dealt with a wide variety of Professional bodies Including Legal Aid Practitioners Group and pertinently Action v Medical Accidents (AvMA).
As a barrister in the military his wider responsibilities included operational advice to senior military commanders and politicians including ministers on ‘targeting’ matters and rules of engagement in different operational theatres. His ‘peace time military role’ included preparation and prosecution of the more serious and complex cases such as, fraud, rape and serious assaults along with Boards of Inquiry investigating the events surrounding the deaths of military personnel. Recently retired and based in Salisbury.
Mandeep Dev – Trustee
Mandeep started volunteering at Our Sansar in 2015, fresh out of university and keen to get involved with a charity determined to improve the lives of communities that need it most.
Since then, he has gained over eleven years of international experience in global supply chain, banking and enterprise wide risk management. In that time, he has also seen Our Sansar continue to support children and families and change lives in the best way possible.
He visited Nepal in 2016/2017 and was thoroughly impressed with the team’s work ethic and the progress the children made at school and at the children’s home. For Mandeep, Our Sansar is a very special organisation, and he is always excited to hear more and discuss the work that Julia and the team do. He joined the board of trustees in 2021.
Harry Lynch – Trustee
Harry graduated in medicine from Leicester University in 2007 and went on to become a paediatrician. Having studied for a diploma in tropical medicine and hygiene, he volunteered in South Africa and Moria refugee camp in Lesvos before going on to volunteer with Volunteering Services Overseas in Dhading Besi in Nepal in 2016. There, he taught paediatrics to local doctors, sexual health to local students and looked after internally displaced persons following the earthquake of 2015. That’s when he encountered Our Sansar, who were running a temporary transit home in the area due to the increased need at that time. He ran a small health project with them and fell in love with the whole Our Sansar project and kept in touch.
He fundraised for Our Sansar a number of times over the years including running the London marathon in 2021 before coming back to visit the Birgunj children’s home as well as the projects in Rautahat in 2026. Impressed by the wide ranging support Our Sansar has gone on to provide for a large population and by the passion, enthusiasm and warmth of the staff he met, Harry went on to join the board of trustees.
Harry also works with YourStance, teaching skills in CPR and bleed control to teenagers and young adults who are vulnerable to knife crime as well as volunteering for Growth night shelter for the homeless.
In his spare time, he kayaks, swims badly and follows the Arsenal football team obsessively.
Khalid Rashid – Trustee
Khalid Rashid is a finance professional with over 20 years of experience working for institutions including Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Deutsche Bank and HSBC, across a broad range of topics including Treasury and ESG.
Khalid has previously served as a school governor and enjoys reading and travelling.
Nepali Leadership Team
Prekshya Bhattarai – Operations and Monitoring Coordinator
Prekshya is from Tehrathum, a picturesque hilly district of Nepal. Despite growing up in Kathmandu and completing her studies there, she always wanted to explore different places and different types of work. Drawing on her experience in social work with Raksha Nepal and in administrative roles within a cooperative, she eventually found her place within the Our Sansar team.
Prekshya is involved in all aspects of running Our Sansar’s projects and has a knack for bringing everyone and everything together. She oversees monitoring, planning, implementation and the general operations of the charity. She is also the main point of contact between our UK and Nepali teams.
Prekshya is deeply passionate about Nepali literature, enjoys writing poetry and loves music. Exploring Nepal’s breathtaking landscapes through hiking and trekking is another passion of hers.
Being able to contribute to improving children’s lives and creating positive change fills Prekshya with immense pride and fulfilment.
Sabita Pun – EmpowerHER Programme Manager
Sabita grew up in the Himalayas and then did her school and further studies in Kathmandu. During her gap year, she volunteered with different non profit organisations and gained a variety of experience helping girls. One summer she travelled to Terai (Southern Nepal) and volunteered at a local school – that’s where her passion to help children started. Stepping out of her comfort zone, seeing the other sad part of Nepal was tough for her first. She realised though that even a small contribution from her side, meant a lot to the communities over there.
Years later, Sabita manages our EmpowerHER Programme that also includes the End to Child Marriage project. She has built an amazing team around her and together they work with girls who are survivors of gender-based violence and those at risk of child marriage. Sabita’s passion is working with the communities so she often goes in the field, meets the girls, the families and coordinates the community training and workshops.
Mukesh Sah – Our Sansar Representative
At the beginning, what he did for Our Sansar was setting up the first children’s home in Birgunj and working with many local government schools to coordinate our teacher training program. What he does now is liaise with the team and project stakeholders on the ground to ensure all the projects are running smoothly.
Mukesh has always wanted to start new small businesses within different sectors. He hopes some of the children from our children’s home will join his ventures when they grow up as well.
